The visit of the city starts right from its heart, from Piazza dei Miracoli where the famous leaning tower is located, known all over the world as the Tower of Pisa.
Grand Hotel Duomo in Pisa is just a short stroll away from Piazza dei Miracoli and the Baptistery, and about 50 meters from the Tower ticket office. The very central position of the hotel, in the heart of the historical centre, will allow you to visit the most important attractions of the city of Pisa: for example the Logge dei Banchi just where Ponte di Mezzo is on the Arno river, used for the characteristic wool and silk market; the Lungarno Galilei with its streets along the river full of meeting places and typical restaurants; on the other side of the river there is the Lungarno Mediceo, famous because of Palazzo Medici, home of Lorenzo the Magnificient.
