A park not far from Pisato explore among flora and fauna
Just 15 minutes and about 6 km, as the crow flies, from the city of Pisa and from Grand Hotel Duomo, there is a natural jewel open to the public, the Natural Park of Migliarino, San Rossore, Massaciuccoli, established in 1979.
The Park offers access to its marvellous internal areas, with visits to take with the assistance of environmental guides recommended by the Park and offers environmental education and naturalistic didactics activities. A visit to the San Rossore Park is an opportunity for cycling and walking tours, horse, carriage, and train rides. But it is also like a large open-air classroom, a window onto the plant and animal world offering true emotions and bewilderment to adults and children. In the park, which extends along the coastal strip between the provinces of Pisa and Lucca, there is a luxuriant and varied flora: tree forests of poplar, alder, domestic pine, maritime pine; inhabited by an equally rich fauna: eagles, hawks, woodpeckers, red foxes, wild rabbits, deer and boars.
