Palazzo Blu art and culture in Pisa
Palazzo Giuli Rosselmini Gualandi, known as Palazzo Blu, is an historical building of the city of Pisa, centre of temporary exhibitions and cultural activities. Located on the southern side of the Lungarno (along river Arno) in the heart of the historic centre of the city, within a short walking distance from Ponte di Mezzo and Palazzo Gambacorti (today seat of the Town Hall). After restoration works, the ancient noble mansion has become part of the wider tourist development project of the museum circuit overlooking Lungarno, the arterial road of great historical and cultural value that crosses the city of Pisa from east to west. The reference to blue is due to a late eighteenth-century blueish fragment found during the restoration works of the façade.
